... I wanted to say, my hats off to you.

I've been reading the posts here and noticed a few early generation Seabees in the forum.

You have set the precedent to the most amazing military construction force. The hardships endured by us today seem to pale in comparison to early Bees, WWII through Vietnam (or perhaps it's how the History Channel comes across Smile).

Thank you for your service and for helping to make the Seabees a force to be reckoned with!

Roger and ditto what the LadyCB says.

BZ to you venerable veteran Seabees. This lifelong civilian is most grateful for your service and for the sterling example you've collectively set for my son.

THANK YOU, LadyCB and HH, As a Vietnam Seabee I must admit that the WW II Seabee's set a tough tradition for the rest of us to carry on and I hope that we have carried over that tradition to all of you out there today. We 'old timers' are PROUD of your dedication. Hoorah!!! BB

Here's good story about Seabees/Coast Guard and Dynamite on Okinawa during WW2.
