I'm with ya, Bill. It's been so quit here, I used to check everyday. Now, I stop in once in awhile to see if anything is happening. Confused

Where did all you young "war mongers" go? What's happening in your world? Razz

Welcome aboard, MrFubis and good to hear from you, too Chief. Even if you are a UT, God forgives everybody. Big Grin

Remember...I was with the Bees, too. I know how hard that work is, it's all the beer after that does it. Beer

Bill, don't blame for the jokes I get 'em from one of the guys in the Battalion, he must sit up all night searching for them. BTW, he just joined military.com about a month ago, but I haven't seen any postings. If he started we'd have to set up a thread just for jokes, and he'd fill it.

You know, if you weren't insane when you went into the Bees, you are when you come out.

Hey Bob,
just looking at your public profile I was curious about the SCW you show under individual awards, how were you able to earn it if you got out in the sixties or am I misunderstanding?

MrFubis, I was discharged on Halloween 1969. I have been in contact with my Battalion since 2002, 2 years ago I was informed that in March 1970, every Seabee who served with the 30NCR in Vietnam was authorized to wear the items I have listed. Up until that time and on my DD214 are only the 3 Medals received at the time of discharge. I contacted the Navy Records for an update and after 6 months I received a list of authorised medals, etc. I am having my DD214 corrected.

That's all I know.

I think I'm outnumbered here by UT's. I surrender. Big Grin

MrFubis, No offense taken. The only thing that makes me mad is that the Navy never bothered to inform me before. But, then again, before we weren't authorized to wear our medals. Last year Congress approved the wearing of medals on Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Veteran's Day, and any day we feel it's appropiate.

I thought this was a good place to say I am no longer going to post on military.com.

As I noted before I (did) spend most of my time on the PTSD thread, recently a so called PTSD sufferer came on and started bad-mouthing everyone who disagreed with him. The PTSD threads are supposed to be sacred ground for those sufferers because of their fears. This guy is allowed to run free through the threads and say whatever he pleases. Many of the regular posters have dropped off because of him and I guess I became his latest victim.

Before I go I do want to say...I don't know if I've explained here that I went to a private organization here in Minnesota that specializes in PTSD diagnosis and received the report this past week. It proves I suffer from PTSD and now I have to wait for the VA to accept the diagnosis.

Thank you to all my friends here, Bill I will continue to be in contact via e-mail. Take care of these NewBees for me.

SALUTE!!!

Bob is correct on the medals he earned.

Bob is also correct on a individual who disrupted the PTSD forum and he is being delt with as we speak. He has been warned twice, he has been given his last warning. I hope Bob you do not drop out of what has given you help.

Bob, I wish you would re-consider leaving the PTSD Forumily. I 'm not sure of what is really going on and I feel as I am being left behind,.. and I also feel that I may have been fooled by a disruptive poster.
Sincerely, CM Dietz.
