I am looking for soem insight regarding the M-Year training an what it consists of exactly. Is the time spent in the field? Any pointers? Items to bring? I have been to a super fex and wanted to know how the M-Year training differs.
M Year AT is Military Year Training. It all depends which class(es) you'll be assigned to. If you're in squad leaders, then you'll be out on the field for about 1 week learning the intricacies of patrols, land nav and defensive positions from your Marine Advisor. You'll have contractors (marines, seals, etc) hired to agress you.
If you're a chief or higher, you might go to aChief /Officer's FEX.
You could also be in any of a host of other classes (Com, Combat life saver, combat skills, etc.)
