Here are the words and a link were you can here The Seabee song

We're the Seabees of the Navy
We can build and we can fight
We'll pave the way to victory
And guard it day and night
And we promise that we remember
The "Seventh of December"

We're the Seabees of the Navy
Bees of the Seven Seas

The Navy wanted men
That's where we came in
Mister Brown and Mister Jones
The Owens, the Cohens and Flynn
The Navy wanted more
Of Uncle Sammy's kin
So we all joined up
And brother we're in to win

I take it Seabees are the kind of folk that like country music? Big Grin

not a big fan myself but the song is pretty catchy!

Seabees like all kinds of music, some like one kind more than another. The Seabee song comes from WW2 and is not a country western song. It is more like a college fight song.

Oops, 15258701, you meant the first song, which is country sounding. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm not much of a country music fan, but that song was freaking sweet.

I thought it had something in it about the Halls of Montzuma and shores of Tripoli Wink

That song sucked alot of *******! We need a gangsta rap song talking about building **** with people trying to kill you and you not taking that mess! The video could have big booty'd hoe's with G-string bikini's , hardhats, and of course the seabee signature full auto M16 with a tool belt, singing the hook! And of course the enlisted should be beating the **** out of a CEC Officer with hammers and linemans pliers. But you also have to make sure that theyr'e somewhat under equipped to get the job done on time, maybe it should be a long song or we can put some PMS training in the middle just to make sure its more authentic, what do you guys think?

The original SEABEE SONG is the best one. I joined the Navy Seabees in 1956 and went to Adak, Alaska with my first NMCB - MCB 11 during my 20 yrs I also helped commission MCB 58, also I was in MCB 6 Viet Nam 10 months, Seabee Team 0602 8 months, CBPACDET Siagon 13 months, for a total of 31 months, 8 campaigns including TET Offensive. I Love the Seabee's

fivell50,

If you look around YouTube, you will find rap, metal, you name it, chanted to videos of Seabees. As a matter of fact, I did know a CE1 who rapped his own Seabee song. Not a fan of rap myself, but he gets A+ for creative lyrics.

EOC has a point... the original tells the message well. But I am not against modernizing the song to whatever sound sums up the awesomeness that are the Bees! Smile

To set the record straight I did not post the song because I thought the Song of the Seabees should be replaced with this but because I liked the song and wanted to share it with others.
If you want to change the Song of the Seabees then you had better be ready for a fight. We sing it loud and proud (and we stand when we sing) because it is our song. Every new member of our DET in Tuscaloosa had to sing the song in front of the DET.

Oh no, Senior... you won't see me asking for a new song.

I did understand the context of your post, which was the same as mine. Just a little motivating music, no changes in tradition required.

The only thing better than making new Bees sing in front of the DET is making them sing it in the gas chamber. Smile
