One of the LTs who used to work at my ROTC unit precommed the USS Texas. He said the berthings were designed with females in mind.

According to the guys I talked to at EB who built them, so were the SSBNs. Still never happened, and I doubt it ever will.

They'd fit on a fast attack. Hell. I can shove myself in a rack with one. I can't remember who's sister she was, but she was cute! That was before they had the fences aroudn the peirs. The topside would call the belowdecks to round up the guys to come up topside with the nogs and binos to watch as our guys had there way in the cars with their ladies on the peir!

Reminds me of Christmas of 2003. One of the NUBs on a certain boat had the security called over some noise and what-not on the peir in a car on the other side of the fence. Turns out it was a Bublehead from another boat having a little Chirstmas hanky panky with his woman. Butthye where both soon arrested. I still shake my head at that. I just hope the NUB was taught a lesson.

This LT also pointed that out, but the problem with the SSBN thing was that women could only serve on that platform without getting any exposure to the SSN experience. Without that experience, he said, upward mobility would be limited. Now that a class of SSNs is being built to allow women on board as well, integration might be possible.

Either way, I have no desire to go subs, even if I could!
