Hello,
I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there who is currently or was recently stationed in at the New London/Groton CT base? We were looking online at a couple of the Balfour Navy Housing communities such as Cherry Hill and Nautilus but we were just wondering if anyone knew prices or any information? There doesn't seem to be much local off base housing.. Thanks for anyones help!! |

Its MFH. So, whatever his BAH is.
The housing there was just completely redone while we were there (2ish years ago). Some areas of housing may still be under constrution. The new units are awesome. We loved it. Make sure you take the oppritunity and do day trips to NYC and Boston while there! |

We are actually JUST leaving housing there tomorrow for San Diego (yay!). We lived in Trident park - which doesn't take the full BAH ($995.00 to be exact). As an E-3, every extra penny counted to us.
Like Catherine said, the Balfour Beatty houses will take your entire BAH for the new, and more recently-built units. Trident Park is the exception because its so old. The newest units are VERY nice, and I think are worth every penny of BAH. Also, I agree, get out and visit NYC and Boston. If you wear your uniform in NYC, you get to ride the subway for free, among other benefits like front of line privileges at attractions, etc), MWR at SUBASE will tell you the same thing. Good luck! we lived in Nautilus (I think that's what it was called), in the back so I had woods behind me. They were the 3 br units with the full master suites.
Surpirsed they havent gotten around to re-doing trident park yet. Another thing, OP, line up to get tickets to the Boston/Yankees games when they become available. Seeing that game at the big green monster (Fenway) for only $40 a ticket was awesome. This message has been edited. Last edited by: catherine0830, |
