BTW, NWIP - how's your new duty station?

You could use the excuse my mom does, her brain is just so overloaded with information from all her years, that she has run out of room for memories Wink

We are doing alright, still in a hotel, hopefully moving into housing shortly. I guess we could have our Annual General Meeting here couldn't we? Especially if it includes a tour of the Tiger Brewery? Or would you rather have a Sling at the Raffles??

I say wet myself. I guess that means we should hire a proper bartender then?? Beer Just as long as you don't pick the Canuck subs that are pieces of junk. The only worthy thing on it is the bar.

Hey, NWIP - I vote for Raffles! Just may be over your way before too long. Have a large, new contract in the vicinity. See if this ol' man can get there!

Ya know - there must be something about being a YN. One of my old smokeboats had a YN Striker (who subsequently retired as n E-9) who became quite an expert on wines. He is now featured in various fancy wine magazines, is a consultant on wines to fancy hotels, and so on. Must be a latent gene that YNs have that surfaces after retirement. Wink

Sooo - heck yes! We need a YN to recount all our adventures...and keep us, um, well fortified.

Oh yeah we always need a YN!!

Cool Mack, let me know when you are heading this way. I guess we could do both, a trip to Raffles and a tour of the Brewery. I wonder if we might also need a tour to the Tiger Balm Factory to help get some of these joints working faster??

I have neither the patience nor the vineyard for wine... yet. Things can change with time and the proper funding, though. Big Grin

Let me know when to muster. I've gotta get out of aviation...

Need a cook? Did boomers and Skipjack class, but never smokeboats, and like they say, you only live once. And for us older over 50 folk who have been out awhile, who says pizza night can only be on Saturday? Also for what it's worth, for a little extra security, I have my pistol sharpshooter ribbon.

All right, I don't have phins, but this just sounds like too much fun to pass up. I was a qualified Sonar Sup, have loaded quite a few torpedoes in my time, was qualed all the way through repair party leader (including DCTT) in DC and stood OOD underway.

Sign me up.

As I mentioned before, am willing to "crank." Also, as NUB as very qualified in media and PR communications, should the boat crew wish to be in spotlight.

But, mpwimmer, I'm not qualified as a wild woman! But do make a mean rum/apple cake.

You don't have to be a wild woman to be loved, you know, Nancy. After all, we eat more than we, you know.

Or, at least I do.
