Now that I have some of ya'lls attention , what would be a good brand , style , manufacture of kegs and kegging systems from the view point of cost , parts , reliability . Bottling can become a pain , plus adds down time of no beer .
Corny (Cornilius) Keg. It's the same 5 gallon system used for coke. We even used to have them on the boat.
Here's a starter site to get some info and and idea on prices. You can go with used or new kegs, I have 3, two used one new, generally only use the new one. I've had them for about 10 years now, and never had to replace the software in the valves.
Are there homebrewers on this site?? What a great hobby. I've been brewing for about a year now and have a 6 keg kegerator set up in my basement right now. There is just nothing like having a nice cold beer of many styles to choose from on a hot day.
If you want some great info on kegging and everything else homebrew, check out HomeBrewTalk This is a great forum with homebrewers from all over giving their insight into this great hobby! Of course, I could probably tell you quite a bit since I love to DIY most of my homebrew gear.
