Has anyone done this before... Just got my list of possible job picks and EOD is on it :-). And according to the retraining manager I have an extremely good shot at getting it. I am an E-3 about a yr from SrA but I am prior service so any words on how this will be compared to ATC tech school as a pipeliner. I've heard the school is extremely difficult and even though it's not 100% yet I really think this is going to end up what I do. Thanks any info appreciated. And yes I've read through the numerous EOD threads this is just mainly about how tech school at Eglin will be for a prior service E-3
It could be a bit confusing if you're PCS-ing with a family, one guy in our flight went to Eglin w/ his family before going TDY to Lackland for the Prelim course. If you don't have a family, I'd imagine that it'll be like PCS-ing anywhere else, except you go to school. No room in the dorms for unaccompanied prior service, so you'll probably be on the economy somewhere.
