Just wondering if we could put a "Locked post" at the top of the main AF General Discussion board with instructions on how to post images? It seems like this question gets asked more frequently latley. Maybe call it instructions or something like that. Just a thought.

I can do that. If someone wants to write one up and post it here, I will sticky it.

First, you need a medium, like Photobucket. When you upload an image, it places the required "img" designation. You right click and copy that img tag and paste it in the "Image URL" key in the task bar above, second from right and click OK. When it places the image designation in your post, you notice two [img] on each end of the string. You have to remove one [img] off each end, to make your image come to life, after you click "Post Now".

After you have a webhost for your pictures (Photobucket is a good one) copy the img url (right click/copy)...

To add a picture to the forums should look like:

[ img]url of picture(mine is http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa320/Weasel_Keeper/Tusk.jpg [ /img] (without any spaces)

Right click on my picture and hit properties to see what I mean...just add a [ img] your pic url [ /img] with no spaces.

Actually if the mod or forum admin changes a setting you can download a picture from your computer post as an attachment and if you want the picture to display in the post all you got to do is link the attachment as previously explained. That way you don't need photobucket.

Example:

This picture is an attachment to the SERE Training to be required of all Airman post in the AF Special Operations forums.
