Hello everyone! Fresh enlistee here, signed my contract in September and I ship off for basic February 9th! I am absolutely PUMPED! I have a awkward question though, I want to network with other members of the Air Force and meet some people, but when I try to set my network as "United States Air Force" it required an e-mail, and apparently my regular old e-mail isn't valid for this? Is there a way to get an "Official USAF e-mail address?" Or am I missing something? Thank you!
I doubt it would require your official AF email address since you wouldn't want to use that on anything not work related anyways. You'll get one after tech school at ur first base.
It probably might not except certain free email addresses but ive never had a problem using Gmail addresses.

By joining the Air force network you are claiming that you are a member of the Air Force. So, they want your official e-mail address so that someone else from the Air force can confirm that you are in fact in the Air Force.
Once you get to your first first base you will be assigned an AF email. FB will send a confirmation to your AF email, take that email and then forward it to your personal email (you can't get on FB on government computers) and finish the process.
