"The Defense Department will implement a new program this week to compensate former and current servicemembers for each month they involuntarily served from Sept. 11, 2001 to Sept. 30, 2009, a defense official said.
Congress approved an appropriation bill last summer, giving the department $534 million over the next year for an estimated 185,000 servicemembers affected by the “Stop Loss” authority since 9/11, said Sam Retherford, director for the department’s officer and enlisted personnel management office."
I was affected by Stop Loss after 9-11, when my approved retirement was cancelled. I found a copy of my original retirement orders, and a copy of the RIP that showed my retirement was canx'd, but I can't find anything that shows when I was released from Stop Loss. I was a 2A390, and I know it was around April 2002. I ended up just applying for a new retirement date, 1 year from the original
Can anybody help, or know where I might find that info? I emailed AFPC, just waiting for a reply.

"How to apply
The Air Force has set up a Web site, http://www.afpc.randolph.af.mil/stoploss, with instructions on how to apply for the retroactive pay online. Airmen can also call the Total Force Service Center at 800-525-0102."
There is a provision where if people can't find all the necessary documentation that AFPC will accept a letter from your last CC. It sounds like they're really trying to make the payments to those who were stop-lossed and they're being pretty loose with paperwork (i.e. you may have enough documentation already).
Thanks for the replys. Yes, I'm already aware of the claim process. It's just that the "Claimed Stop Loss Period" requires "From" and "To" dates. I know the "From" date is my original retirement date. What I don't know is the "To" date, the date my AFSC was released from Stop Loss.
As I said before, once I was released, I just applied for a new retirement date. I know it was around March or April 2002, but I don't want to just "guesstimate" a date when it comes to government benefits.
