Hi all, I can't seem to find info on this anywhere so I thought I'd try here. I am a physical therapist, and also a AF veteran, who would like to return to the AF as an officer. My question for you is, are physical therapists eligible for a direct commission? I've read that "medical officers" are but they don't distinguish what fields these "medical officers" are. I know that this doesn't only mean physicians. I appreciate your help.
On airforce.com under Healthcare Opportunities they list Physical Therapist under Biomedical Sciences Careers. The commissioned officer training is only 4 weeks long. I hope that helps.
