I'm looking for any information on the 1st Recovery Battalion in Ft. Campbell. I'm a PS transition, and a lot of the guys here at Ft. Bliss 88M AIT have orders there, so I'm just looking for some info to pass on to them. Any info is appreciated, as all search engine queries have turned up nothing.

You guys will probably end up with the 101st Support Group. Most of the Trans units are Medium truck.

You will first go to 20th replacement, and more than likely you will go over to Sustainment Bde. and end up in 106th trans. There are more than one trans company in 106th. It's not a bad place, I personally like FT.Campbell, and 106th trans. Most of the Battalion just got back from Iraq about 6-8 months ago, but we just got here(Balad). You could also be assigned to BTB,101 Sustainment. All said Campbell is a good post, about 45 mins-1hr from Nashville so there's plenty to do.

I was in the 106th Trans Bn years ago in France, then in Germany. It has been around a long time. I have the History on my web page if anyone wants to look at it.

I am Retired and live in Clarksville Tn, so will try to drop by the 106th during the Week of the Eagles next month.
