I'm NG, so I can't speak for Active Duty, but I've only seen 1 person get promoted to anything over E-4 in 2 years. That doesn't seem right considering that 63B is or at least was a shortage MOS.

The promotion points criteria has jumped about 300 points for E-5 over the last year. It was 350 for the longest time.

Last time we did a packet from E5 to E6 points were completely maxed out at 720, two years ago.
Crazy part is that it never stays the same. It goes up and down depending on rank and need for the next one up.
