My old unit is gone we were in central Germany a few years back. Since 1991 US forces have been leaving Germany bit by bit. Eventually it wont have as many bases as it has now. I encorage anyone who wants to serve there who hasent yet to try and get stationed there. It is central to Europe makes for easy travel, the beer is fantastic, I could go on and on but I will stop, oh yea, behave yourselves over there the German Police is fierce, and nothing like what we have here in the USA. Dont stay stuck in the barracks, travel with a group and try not to get drunk as you may need your awareness levels to be sharp many other nationalities in Germany so watch your back.

If your husband is an 88N, Movements Specialist, they'll be the ones to turn the lights out as they leave - definitley go to Germany for all teh reason the numbers guy gave, and more.
