Especially for Kyle and Kate and Lexi.

Your first holiday season without Mike and Tom. The TAPS magazine had some moving articles on the difficulties of the holidays.

I pray you, and all who have lost a loved one, especially in this last year, found some measure of peace and love this last month. I think of you always. May the wonderful memories bring a smile or two to your faces in the coming year/s. May next year at this time, I pray, may you know a bit less pain. May Lexi always know the love of strangers, (Santa) and my peace find your hearts soon.

Lexi:

It does get better at the holidays, really it does! It will always be bittersweet, but it will get better. My second Christmas was worse than the first, but after that a lot of the joy came back.

Thank goodness for children to give us perspective and a purpose to keep carrying on and living our lives fully. To live life to the fullness is the best tribute you can give.

As someone told me, "Your husband would be proud that you 'Carry on smartly'".
