Hello,
My Dad flew a C124C for the SAC in the 4th SSS out of Ellsworth AFB Rapid City
SD.
His name is edited Thomas from Colorado Springs , CO.
I am his son.

I am writing you in hopes that you could help me locate some of the men who
might have flown with him or anything else that relates to the air force and my
dad.

I am planning to do a watercolor painting of a C124C for him for his next
birthday (April 30th) and thought it would be neat to have some letters from
some of his fellow pilots/crewmen to go along with the painting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hope to hear from you soon

Regards,
Andrew Thomas

Either research:
afhso.research@pentagon.af.mil
or
http://www.strategic-air-command.com/

If you email the Air Force Historical Society at the above address, they can probably find some research data for you to use and the website for SAC has contact information, as well.
Good Luck!

Andrew, I was in the 4th SSS at Ellsworth AFB at the same time your father was there 1955-57. I remember him well, he was a graduate of Yale. We traveled together from Rapid City to Donaldson AFB North Carolina to learn the systems of the C-124, spent a month there and then drove back to Rapid City. Along the way we were treated to a dinner at Broadmore Country Club in Colorado Springs by his parents. If you ever receive this message contact me at 879 N. Date Palm Drive, Gilbert, AZ 85234, mailing address as I am reluctant to give email address to public here and will not visit this web site in future. Please furnish me with Tim's phone number as I would love to call him. M. Allen formerly Lt. Allen.
