I just started receiving BAH w/Dep, because I married 29NOV2009. I looked at the new BAH pay chart for 2010 and I noticed that the BAH for my zipcode will be $81 less per month than in 2009. I would like to know if I will continue getting BAH at the 2009 rate "Grandfathered In" or should I expect it to drop to the 2010 rate? I have asked around and this seems to be the rumor, "Once receiving a certain amount for a zipcode, it can only go up." Any comments/input on this will be greatly appreciated.

Not a rumor, it is true. If you were receiving the 2009 rate and the 2010 rate is lower, you will still receive the 2009 rate.

until you PCS.. even if you go to another command in the same zip cide, whatever rate is in effect at that time is the rate you will get.
