My family would like to do our part. If you know of a family with children in need of some financial assistance because their primary bread winner is deployed, please let me know. We would like to contribute whatever we can to make sure the children aren't sacrificed.

I myself have a family of 3 children and don't know what my wife would do if I had joined the military and been deployed. I don't have a lot of money, but would like to help someone out in whatever way I can.

John

Look into programs like Navy Marine Corp Relief Society, Army Emergency Relief, Operation Homefront which are charities that help the military & their families. Also look into MWR and see what programs they offer especially around the holidays. And check with your local area if you are close to a base, sometimes there is programs that help with food, toys, etc... for military families as well.

John, I cannot tell you how thankful I am to see someone out there who wishes to do their duty to their fellow creature. Find out where the nearest Guard or Reserve unit is and contact them to see if you can help. One of the best things that you can do for a military family is give them a Hand Up and not a Hand Out. But this applies to all society. We have many resources available to keep us from going under, but human companionship and knowing that someone cares boosts us the most.
