Has anyone ever broke a car lease due to deployment? SCRA says your allowed to, but don't know anyone who has done it. If so how long did you have the car and does that matter. I just got a car lease and now I found out that I am going over. Any help?

Just call the customer service department where you have your lease. Should be on your paperwork. Be prepared to fax/mail/walk in your deployment orders, so have a pen and paper handy.
Company's have no choice in this matter--especially when it comes to vehicles. Every single auto company has a plan for this since 2001-2002. They expect it nowadays. If you have any trouble or if for some odd reason they don't know about SSCRA(SCRA), have a copy of it handy so you can tell them what it all entails. |

Do you know if there is a time limit on how long you had the vehicle?

Shouldn't make any difference at all since you can't predict when you're going to deploy before you leased the vehicle. But take a close look at your contract and see if it's addressed--you'll most likely find it on the back somewhere. If it's not addressed in the contract---customer service and/or dealership. |

I forgot to ask. I won't have to pay the payoff/ difference? Correct. I just turn it in and go?

Yes. If you have your orders to deploy, shouldn't have to pay anything at all---unless for some ungodly reason you managed to go over your mileage.
