WE HAD A HOME FORECLOSED ON BACK IN 1983 WITH A VA LOAN. NOW 25 YEARS LATER THE VA IS SAYING THEY WILL NOT WAIVE THE $14,209.00 PLUS INTEREST AFTER THEY SOLD THE HOME. SO THEY'RE SAYING WE HAVE TO PAY THIS. WHAT CAN WE DO? WE ARE BOTH DISABLED DRAWING SOCIALSECURITY DISABILITY AND MY HUSBAND DRAWS $659.00 A MONTH FROM THE VA FOR DISABILITIES FROM VIETNAM AGENT ORANGE. CAN THEY TAKE HIS MONTHLY BENEFITS TO PAY THIS. FOR IF THEY DO WE WILL LOSE THIS HOME WE NOW HAVE, WHICH IS A 1983 DOUBLE WIDE MOBILE HOME AND WE WILL BE ON WELFARE THE REST OF OUR LIFE. I SENT IN A NOTICE OF DISAGREEMENT AND GOING TO APPEAL. HELP HELP HELP

The $14,000 should be the loss that VA took on the home. If you want to do a VA loan again you would either have to pay it off or do a loan amount that would be equal to or less than your remaining entitlement. VA does not pursue collection action action on losses from foreclosures.

By the way Danny E Slay and 4502447 are really the same people, Susan Slay and Robert Slay. I've emailed you questions for all 3 of us. I hope this isn't real confusing for you. SORRY
