I know that many of us resolved to lose some weight at the beginning of 2006. So far, so good, but I am SO sore! But I'm not giving up! I thought that maybe we could come here to encourage each other and keep on track. Let me know what you guys think.
Happy Exercising! Smile

I walked down to the store today. I have to set the gazelle up again after the fung shui set up of the house. LOL

The walk was about a mile though. Smile

I also made some sun tea... Gonna have to make another batch of it. Drinking that instead of cokes. I used a pomegranet (spelling??? and too lazy to look it up right now) and cranberry green tea for it. Quite tastey with a touch of splenda in it. Gives me the fix for cokes.

So, hopefully no more cokes in my diet, or just one a day or less. Planning to make some plain tea as well. That way I will have two kinds... one flavored at all times to drink.

I keep track of that stuff. If you bought it new, the batteries 'should' be good. And depending on how much you use it, they should be good for about a year.

This is just my guess, but I think most of the calories burned is calculated on a body weight of 150. If you use the more expensive equipment, like the gyms have, you enter your weight. usually standard calories burned during an activity is based on 150 lbs. Now keep in mind, if you weigh more, you generally burn more.

I have a program that calculates all that information. You put in how far, how long, what pace and your body weight, and it will calculate how many calories burned. It costs about $15, maybe less and you can download it from the net. If you want more info, let me know and I will put it out there. Smile Real easy to use too. Has a whole list of foods you can enter to track your food intake. Tells you if you are over or under your goal intake and outgoing.

If you put a goal and date for your goal in there, it will tell you how many more calories you need to burn than take in in order to acheive said goal. Can alos track heart rate, blood pressure, etc if you enter the info and also inches. It will produce a graph with a click of the mouse too so you can see a decrease in your weight. Big Grin

Wooohooo! Not sure what the devil machine is, but sounds like you beat it!

I'm not actually going to the gym again until Monday, but I am going to the state fair tomorrow so that will be a ton of walking around. That counts, right? :P

DH is CRAZY!!! He's standing in the rain right now, at the bottom of a steep hill (in the winter it's a ski run) and is preparing to do a 4.4 mile run up it and back down! Pray for his ankles - they're week and I've prayed myself blue in the face for him already, lol. I'll let y'all know how he does!

Devil machine=eliptical

grr......I hate to say this y'all--but I'm secretly starting to like this machine--SSHHHHH now! Don't blab it everywhere now. But ya know, it's hurting me less, and I'm doing like 20 minutes of the stuff--no huge resistance or anything like that. I'm not going 50mph either. I'm deliberate in my pace, my resistance is low for a reason.....and I'll be damned that in 2 weeks I've more than doubled my time and distance on it. Yeah....I'm cussing at it towards the end and I've got sweat literally dripping off my face, but I've pushed thru that and made it to the end.

Call me nuts, but I'm beginning to like this machine a little bit.--I KNOW!! lol...

Well, I went for a walk this morning. About .75 miles so far. The plan now is to get on the gazelle for a while. Then I meet the DS trainer tonight.

The link for the website for the software I was talking about is....

http://software.palm.com/us/html/display_palm_product.jsp?id=prod70669

Make sure it is the Diet and Exercise Assistant DESKTOP. There is a version you can put on your phone as well, but I just use the desktop. Can keep track of how much water you take in etc as well on it.

Have a great day everyone and will keep you updated on my progress I have the rest of the day. Smile
