Some of you may remember a thread I started a couple of years ago about razor burn and my struggle with it through the years.

Well, I've taken some of the women's advice from that thread and I've been getting laser hair removal for the last 3 months. I love it!

A lot of my hair is actually not even growing back and I've only had two sessions on my underarms and two on my bikini line and upper legs.

No more bleeding, no more bumps, no more soreness. I'm really glad I researched it and decided to do it.

Sounds great!

It sounds like it would be a lengthy process. How long are the sessions?

Each one lasts about 20 minutes. It's actually not so bad when you use the numbing cream. I do a session about every 6 weeks and I get 7 sessions. I've only had 4 so far and a lot of my hair isn't growing back. I'm really glad I'm doing it.

They keep advertising it on the radio where I live. I think a dj got a discount in exchange for doing the commercials.

I would love to get my underarms done.

I have a cousin who got it done all over her body (I don't think she got all of her hair removed) - my dad's side is really hairy and she was a swimmer so she was always in a bathing suit. Its hard enough for guys to have a hairy back - her mom took her to have it done when she was a teenager.

My underarms are the one area that ended up growing back after a few years. (And one side is worse than the other, go figure.) My lower legs and bikini line did not have that problem.

aw bummer. I hate shaving my pits. They always seem to be the most irritated - maybe its because they get attention every day - I consider them the most critical shaving area. I am embarrassed to say my legs get stubbly quite a lot (the hair there is dark blonde so I can get away with it a little more).
