Man...Have you read the subject book about one of the largest air rescues of the War? "The Rescue of Streetcar 304"... A Navy A-7 pilot was shot down in Laos and it took the USAF three days to rescue him while he was being chased at close range by gomers because unknown to anyone, he had landed in the midst of the NVN division that withdrew from Khe Sanh. A USAF pilot came to his rescue...and he got shot down and eventually was captured but the Navy guy made it back. Once you start reading this book, you can't put it down.
