Basic Training |
Hello,
I've recently become a widow of a Vietnam Vet, who passed by what I believe was exposure to Agent Orange. He was stationed in Okinawa for 3 years and 1 year in Thailand he was pulled for at least 4 duties in Vietnam during these times. He also suffered from heart problems, sleep apnea and was diagnosed with PTSD which of course the VA is denying. I am actually writing to you for help regarding the PTSD as he recalled seeying a buddy of his being blown up to piceces while serving in South East Asia. While going through many of his things I've come across a dog tag which reads: G.T. Draiemann, MARINE CORPS, #2378984 1 Catholic. I've tried to locate this man and only today, I found a Gerald T Draiemann USMC, E-4 with military specialty 0311. The buddy finder says he is located in St. Louis, MO, but I cannot get additional information any where in the Country. I hope you can help me in understanding if this Hero was the friend he spoke of who blew up many years ago, or I pray the brother is still alive and well so I can return his dog tag. My husband's name was: Lawrence E. Northup Jr. known as "Lurch", he was in the USAF. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Maura Northup, widow of a hero If you can help me, my e-mail is: sirmio99@yahoo.com |
