Just spoke to my class about Memorial Day. Why we have it off. Why we must never forget those
who sacraficed their lives so we could have the freedom to say what we want about our country, to spit on soldiers and call them baby killers,to go on to our picnics and beaches as we pass the graves of so many. But there are many like myself, we will never forget those brave men and women we gave it all. Thank you. One of the first casualties of the Iraqi war was a former student of mine. A Marine. I remember him playing on the school playground, his sticky little hands, the picture he made me because he "loved" me and thought I was pretty. I would give anything to hold him in my arms once again, sticky hands and all, and tell him that he will grow up and make this world a better place. He tried,my little boy lost.
