I'm just curious who has received a call from the detailer. I know that he is on top of his game this year and is trying to make calls to incumbents and newbie's before the Christmas Holiday. Anybody know where they are going yet?

Unless something has changed significantly from last year incumbents won't start receiving calls until late Feb-early Mar. You will find out where you are going after every other person wearing warrant shoulder boards gets their orders or decided to RILO. Your list gets to choose from the billets they retired to get out of. This process is nothing like the enlisted assignment process.

The previous post is correct; however, the detailer has been calling people earlier than previous years - I received a phone call about a month ago! No orders in hand, but I have been slated.

You new warrants won't start getting calls until all the incumbents get slated. When I put it on in June of 04', the detailer called us in mid March that year. The bottom line is that the current open billets will most likely be totally different by the time you get to choose!

Wow Mr. Smith, that sure is a nice picture in your profile. Makes me proud to say I sailed with such a squared away Coastie ;-). I agree with you and the typical timeline but as Mr. Chilton said phone calls to incumbents have already been made. Mr. Fikac is all over the assignment process this year and told me to expect a call before the Holiday's. We'll see what happens. Are you ever going to head North to share a beverage with your old buddy?
