Is there a secret to the way they come up with you raw score? I have a 104.83 pre board score. What i read in the personel manual still does not explain my low score. Total points of TIG 120, marks 40.74 and pre-board eval -15.83. Could one of you shed some light on the matter?
I believe they score it off your experiance and evaluations.
Which most likely comes down to how long one is in the Guard, Myself is maxed out at 175 for points at E6-E9. Then the rest comes down to a figure that is determined from your evals over the years.
You might just have to keep trying and get more years in the organization.
Rigolets-- Your score is based on 60% evals and 40% TIG. All applicants eval/TIG #'s are combined and computed to generated a standard deviation. Your eval/TIG is then compared in relation to all the other applicants stats. If I were to guess I would say it was your marks that hurt your score the most. The preboard eval of -15.83 indicates your eval score was lower than the average computation of the total applicants. I think it was the TIG that actually increased your #. If you look through the MSSE PDE postings you will see several eval scores are around 43,44+. Hope it helps & best of luck.
Mine dipped a bit from 291.59 to 291.28. I would recommend going to the website listed in the message ALCGPERSCOM 006/09 and read up on the do's and don'ts of OER and resume submission. Some good info.
Knowledge is power! And only the best will make it, so read up and be absolutely meticulous with your packages so you give yourself the best possible chance.
I know right! Tomorrow the scores will be finalized with the Primary and Alternate list coming out on the 18th. Just hang in there, I hear good things will come for us that are waiting.
