PY2010 CWO selection board meets 19OCT09, (R181953Z SEP09), anyone know when the message usually comes out with the official word that you are getting promoted?

Typically the selection board results message follows 4 to 6 weeks after the board convenes. Expect the beginning of December to see something in the traffic BUT you may not see the OPAL message authorizing promotion until April 2010 or later depending on any number of factors. Stand by....

Last years Panel's Results message came out on 17 November. Standing by, too.

I thought you were talked about promotion as a Warrant, not promotion to Warrant.

No bad. The OP was asking about promotion not appointment. edpete97 chimed in on the wrong subject not you.

But...IM_IT, if you read the actual post, not the topic, it says CWO "Selection" board. Sounds like some of you are already "selected". I'm not chiming in on the wrong topic, at least I don't believe I am.

For clarification, it is for us CWO's that are awaiting promotion to W3 or W4. I just cut and pasted what the message said and it stated it as selection board.

Just for the sake of complete clarification -"Selection boards are to consider individuals for promotion to the next higher grade. Designation and appointment boards consider individuals to transfer into that specialty."
