Current navy, blue to green. I'll send my BIO if anyone can help me out with getting a 11B contract from HRC. I have tabbed people that can vouch for me if you don't want to take this at face value, I am not getting pushed out of the navy. I just want more, and I don't want 13B or 88M.

You should be able to get an 11X contract. Talk to a recruiter.

you can get 11b if you want it. A recruiter will never turn you down for that.

you guys aren't listening, "why can't I get" would imply that I have tried already. They offered 13b and 88m. I want to know, if 11b is a critical mos why can't i get a training seat.

Instead of using the Blue to Green program, it might be easier to get discharged from the Navy.

Then after a short vacation talk to an Army recruiter about getting the job you want.

I don't know if your Navy job will have any effect on what the Army offers you.

Go to another recruiter, threaten, beg, whatever. Perhaps the recruiter you went to was told to push 13B and 88M. When you ask, "why can't I get it", it doesn't make any sense. It's like asking, "why can't I get laid", I don't know you or your specifics.

Byron, I replied as I did because you are coming off as self-serving in your posts. Then you rather flippantly remarked that you were "thinking about just getting out for a bit, maybe going in the NG," as if this were a step down or a vacation for you to do so. I've served with prior service Navy-turned-infantryman before, and the ones who thought it was an adventure or just a fun new job all received a rude awakening. I see from your profile that you are a Navy Small Arms Instructor, and while this training means that you presumably know one end of a rifle from the other (thus putting you ahead of 99% of the United States Navy), it does NOT mean that you are automatically an infantryman.
Army Infantry is not just a different career field from Navy service, it's a different world. You disparage the 13B and 88M MOSs, yet have you ever performed either of those missions, let alone the infantryman's job? Have you ever done sustained ground operations (and I don't mean shore duty on an naval base somewhere)?
You came on this website, into a forum of experienced infantrymen, and complained that you 'just want more,' (as if Infantry were a corner office or a better parking spot), then asked for advice. When you were given advice, you belittled it and posted a snotty and condescending reply. When someone called you on that, you got even snottier. As I see it, this attitude will not get you far in the Infantry, even in the National Guard. Therefore I reiterate what I said before: don't do us any favors.

I appologize for offending your sensibilities, all knowing, experienced, long winded national guard infantryman.
As a lowly squid I humbly admit to you that all I have done in the past 9 years is sweep and swab decks.

Dude, chill out. Some people here may be less than sensitive but know that you are sort of coming into our house. Don't compound this by spouting off and making yourself even more of a target.
