Anyone belong to the National Infantry Association and the Non-Commissioned Officer Association? Are they worthwhile?

NIA member. There are a few discount benifits but I mostly joined to support the Infantry. They do some good things to promote Infantry causes like the Infantry Museum.

yea their website shows they have chapters. I wonder what goes on there? I'm thinking of joining myself just want to know what all they do at these chapters.

Never been to one. I cant imagine they are very large.

I need to at least join the NIA. On another note; I recently read that the NIA is trying to get the US Mint to create a series of ($1 ?) coins commemorating the Infantry.

NIA member, enjoy the magazine and support the cause with the National Infantry Museum... first time I visited it was in September, 1983 ... got a 4 hour pass from basic training after shooting expert with the Dragon... that was better than getting drunk like my buddies did... then we got smoked when we got back to the platoon area/company area... what wonderful memories.

NCOA doesn't exist anymore.

It's all wrapped up into AUSA now.

So that's why I don't get the NCOA journal any more... and I paid for a "lifetime" membership... I guess they ment their lifetime...
