I'm a 45B (Small Arms Artillery Repair) in the reserves out here in Maryland. A while back, I decided that I wanted to be in the Army full time, so I put in a request for transfer to active duty, which was approved two days before I left for WLC.

I got my ship date for January, to 11X, as requested. (Prior service isn't shipping out as soon as fresh guys, I was told.) I'm ready to be stricken of my POG ways. *bows*

Now, my actual question is this: I'm not going to WTC, because I'm still a drilling reservist, so I'm just going straight to Ft Benning from MEPS. Do I need to bring all my Initial Issue stuff, or what?

Thanks.

Ha-ha-ha, I know this hasn't changed.

Turn in your initial issue at NG Supply because even though the Feds issued it to you, your state paid for it and it belongs to them.

Arrive at Ft. Benning and get issued for Ft. Benning, upon OSUT graduation turn it in.

Arrive at first unit and inprocess at CiF, get issued it again. When you PCS, turn it in.

Arrive at your second unit....repeat over and over again each time you PCS move to another post.

Confirm with NinjaDrill in the WTC Forums because I am not sure on the direct ship to Ft. Benning part.

Whats your new screen name?

This is the original poster.

I think you misunderstood me. I'm talking about the uniforms the Army gave me the first time I went through BCT, not TA-50. But going over the question again, it would make sense that I would bring my uniforms with me, as all the prior service coming in from WTC would already have had their uniforms issued to them at Ft. Sill or wherever WTC is at, so I'll just bring mine with me.

And I'm not NG, I'm AR.

But I appreciate your help, so thank you.

spc_mars I'am reclassing to 11x in January as well...My start date is actually Jan 4, I'am scheduled to ship Dec 24th which will likely change.

Maybe we will be in the same class...I suppose we will get everything issued during in-processing..

My scheduled graduation date is Feb 25th...what about you?

The secret to winter weather at Benning is try to stay dry and keep moving.
Even if you have to stand still, keep those toes tapping inside your boots and your hands flexing.
Keeps the blood flowing.

I'm not actually sure. I'd have to check.

But I wouldn't count on any graduation dates being set in stone. But if you see a 19 year old Puerto Rican E-4 named Ramos, that'd be me.

We didn't know our OSUT graduation dates until 3 weeks out, so we could write home. Even then, we almost got postponed a week because of the hurricanes that year.
