Well I did get good news, I spoke with my recruiter today and he was finally able to get Airborne added to my contract. But the question now is, he asked me if I would be interested in having Italy as my First Duty Station. I am does anyone have any experience with Italy that they may be able to share?

I have heard nothing but good things about being stationed in Italy with the 173rd Airborne Bde.

I got a pal stationed over there and when the economy was in the slumps he would call and complain about how the U.S. dollar that he gets paid over there has a hard time keeping up with the currenty currency, the euro.

i just got finish with osut friday and right now i am in airborne holdover till friday most of the guys in my company got fort bragg, i think about 6 guys are going to italy its the need of the army.

hell yea go to Italy I heard that is one of the hardest post to get sent too because the huge waiting list..if you dont wanna ill take your spot.

Spend some time there going in to eval 173rd back when it was the old 325 A.I.R (Gold Falcons) Good times, great area- loved it and the folks stationed there enjoyed it too.
