Hey guys I put this in the OS forum but didn't think I would get much attention so I will add it in here. I recently put in for TAPS class in ATC Mobile, which is not very far at all from where I am. I received orders but on the orders it says that the CG will not reimburse me for anything, meaning no travel help, no lodging allowance. Anyone have an explanation for this?
How hard would it be to put a TAPS Class on the forums seriously?
I remember some of it..
Dress for success..ie haircuts ,cover your tattoos..clean clothes..yadda yadda yadda..you only get one chance to make a first impession..blah blah blah..
take your time and make a good ressume..ok. for example..change i was a inport ood and a housing officer too i like to multi-task and have great clearical skills.
one of you that is smarter than i (actually i am a dumbazz but thats another story) could do this with not to much trouble...either way i hope you get to go...i went to one at patrict AFB in florida..good luck and think twice before getting out..before 20 anyways.. sc
Its worth it to go to taps... even if you have to pay for it. It woke me up to all the stupid things civilians have to deal with. I really enjoyed leaving there knowing I didn't have to work on a resume or dressing for success or paying for healthcare.. yea. Go if you can no matter the cost..and read the recruiter forum on Fredsplace... theres a reason there are so many people out there pissed that they can't get hold of a recruiter.. they want in because its not so hot on the outside.
If Topeka rounds down to the nearest Doller why am i getting xxx.13 deposited in my account?? I remember bak in the day they would do this and then catch up in the Sept or Aug paycheck. Mike
