Just wondering if anyone has ever been stationed at a MEPS? I just recieved orders to MEPS Cleveland and was just wondering what it was going to be like.

I was stationed at MEPS Miami. I loved it. The only CG mbrs were the CO and myself. The hours are good, I worked 0500-1300. PT was at the CO's discrestion, I did not have to participate but I did. Beware Marines are a different breed. Good luck

I knew a YN that got a MEPS and he ended up PTing with the Army folks and (according to them) had to pass the Army's PT test. Still had the 0500 commence work time. I don't know what time he got off work though.

You do not have to pass the DOD's PT test as long as your are in your MAW you are good. I only did PT to be a good sport.

Better start learning the ranks of the other services it is most likely that your chain will not include the Coast Guard
