Cited from Chapter 8 JFTR

E. Member in a Leave Status. The CONUS COLA rate paid to the member is not affected by any leave status.

CONUS COLA is not payable in the following cases. For:
1. The number of travel days authorized ICW a PCS (par. U5160); or

2. A Reserve Component member, for any active duty time when the order to active duty is for less than 140 days. For exceptions, see par. U8038.

Split710,

I hope when you say you departed Kodiak, I hope you meant back to the civilian side of the house. With an aragont and foul mouth answer to someone who was trying to help you out demonstrates to me the Coast Guard will be better off without you. If you have this attitude in the civilian world, you will not last long at a single job. Good Luck, I feel you are going to need it.

the question had to do with the JFTR not the pay man if it envolved the pay man i would have asked that question

no attitude or luck needed i work as a laison between the local PD and the Prov Marshall on base and enjoying the check of the month club

when a question is asked people are looking for an answer like this one i recieved from Brian Jordan
Take a look at JFTR Chapter U9105, COLA Start/Stop.

It's been a while since I worked pay but I believe that your overseas COLA stops when you detach from the overseas command. You were probably detached from Kodiak, which ended your entitlement, and then commenced terminal leave in conjunction with your PCS transfer to your home of selection.

straight to the point no BS

Coast Guard will be better off without you

they probably will be

Yes, we have an outstanding BM1(RET) here!! What an example of drive and determination to get to the top huh?! 710 is extreamly lucky to still have his 1st class crows! Yes, the Coast Guard is WAY better off without his poor example of this Coast Guardsman....Let alone a Senior Petty Officer. Stop whineing and get a JOB 710!! Does this look framiliar Violin
