Can you claim your Mother as a dependent if you are supporting her, if so would she get a Military I.D., Medical, EX privileges? Thanks in advance

After going through the Personnel Pay & Procedures Manual, it looks like you can. You will have to fill out these forms:
PPC 2020A PPC 2020D There was even a part in Chapter 5 about applying for an ID card for a parent. In order to get one you would need the following:
• DD Form 1172
• Support Statement, (CG PPC 2020A)
• Copy of member’s tax return (IRS Form 1040/1040A
showing parent claimed as dependent)
I hope that helps.

You can find that information in Chapter 5. Just make sure that you get with your admin staff to ensure that you do it correctly.

Quick clarification. I had my MIL & FIL at one time living with me and they were claimed as dependants. ID card and the works, but for medical they are not TRICARE eligable, Military Treatment Facilities Yes. That was 10 years ago, it could have changed, something else to check on. OSCM B
