I was talking to a VSO the other day, and he was not aware that it is possible for retired Army personnel to get a copy of their DD214 on-line.

You can go to the Army Human Resource Command website. Once there, log in with your AKO user ID & password. If you do not have an AKO user ID & password, follow the links to register for one.

After you log into MY RECORD PORTAL select Reserve Record. Then in the navigation pane on the left, select Documents. You should find your needed documents listed there. You will need Adobe Acrobat to view them, which you can download for free.

I do not know how far back they have gone in listing previously retired people's paperwork. So, if you retired a long time ago, hopefully it will still help you.

I do not know what the websites are for the other branches, but they probably have a similiar deal.
