My question is this: I have over 18 years of good years in the Army Reserve. I will be medically discharged and was REFAD last week. Do I get credit for 20 good years since I have over 18 or just get the disability retirement that was established of non-duty related medical cases after 15 years of service. I just want to make sure I do get my retirment and what the regulations are on having over 18 years of service and are no longer fit for duty.

I don't know the specifics of your case, and your post leaves a little too much to be assumed. I can tell you that your retirement will be under Title 10 USC Chpater 61 Section.....That I do not know because I can't discern what exactly you're being retired for. If you would fill in the blanks, I'll be happy to provide you with the information you need. Wishing you the best and Godspeed.
