I am not retirement age, but will be able to retire in two years. I am 38yo, in the Air Guard and want to achieve a commission before I retire. The Air Force regs stipulate a minimum of 10 years of service as an officer in order to retire at an officer rank. What is the regulation in the Army(Gaurd and Reserve) and the Navy Reserve?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

I think you should ask your question here: general Discussion National Guard
A listening ear, a caring heart, an open mind and an extended hand may be all I can offer, but it is yours without charge or Judgment. |

Thanks for the info. One more question, where can I find the minimum TIG for promotions in the Officer grades?

That varies from promotion cycle to promotion cycle and from service to service. You could find the current TIG with an Internet search.
