I was flying today and got a strange advisory and was wondering if anyone might have some insight. The advisory that came up was "TANK ID CHANGE." Looked it up in the -10 and all it said was that the latched tank identification has changed, which still makes no sense to me, or my IP for that matter. I'm guessing it has something to do with ESSS but I'm not sure. It was probably just some kind of homotron in the system but I was just curious.
The TANK ID CHANGED advisory will appear when latched tank identification information has changed. It appears when the system senses a change to the tank ID status (via a cannon plug pinning).
Found it on pages 303 and 306 of the M Model transition student handout (black & white handout).
How many hours do you have on your M models? We just got ours and have less than 50 hours on our first. Other units with more time on their aircraft are seeing MANY cannon plug related issues, including cannon plugs dsiconnected w/o having been touched since factory delivery.
I just graduated flight school a couple of months ago and I am in the M model AQC right now. The particular aircraft we were flying was a newer helicopter with a little more than 100 hrs on it(which is pretty low for a rucker bird.) It was also equipped with the upturned exhaust system which is kinda cool looking.
