I would like to start a thread for everyone to pitch in about possible updates to a Non Select application packet. I also have some questions regarding the update process.
I called about the DA Photo update since mine was taken in January. They can do a re-shoot but they suggested that if there is no change to the uniform and if I am happy with the photo, they can just go ahead and update the "DATE" on the DA Photo. Would you recommend that? I would not want the board think that I photoshopped the photo, like I edited date myself.
That brings another question. When you make an update to a piece in your board-ready packet, what happens to the old piece, for example, if you update your ERB, your photo, do they discard the old one? After I sent an APFT and ERB update in the beginning of March, I received an email saying the updates were "added" to the packet.
Further, something I don't know for sure, what in the world should I put to my packet regarding "OMPF Hard Copies"... The checklist on the WO Recruiting Website says "Last FIVE years of NCOERS and AERS in order newest to oldest" I have NONE. So I put my AIT Diploma that indicates I am a distinguished grad. I was told by my S-1 that I can only put that one because that doesn't go into my ERB. But in OMPF, the online file, I have irrelevant stuff. Like a few of my awards, COAs and Aviation Badge orders, enlistment contract, re-enlistment contract, etc. Did I have to print all this out and put in my packet? Does the selection board look in your OMPF at HRC database?
The checklist also says " Remaining Hard Copy documents from OMPF not included on your ERB (awards, certificates)" Sure, I added all my COAs there but this item is listed under "Supporting Documents: (These documents are required to qualify your packet, but will not be reviewed by the board)" So why do I put them there if the board is not going to see it. I would wish the board see my COAs.
I'd appreciate it if you enlightened me on these questions so far. I am non-select but I am not quitting yet.
I have no idea but I'm thinking it wouldn't hurt to just send hard copies of everything except the contract. I'd rather they had too much than too little.

Thank you for your reply sir, I am sending the applicable hard copies to iPerms that maintains my OMPF... I was told to send everything to the selection board except those that are already on my ERB.
