I was looking at the WOCS site and read about the "mandatory phase 1 dl". Can anyone enlighten me?

Mandatory = Required
Phase 1 = The one before Phase 2
DL = Distance Learning (on the computer)

If you've been to PLDC you must do the first 2 weeks of WOCS over the internet.

Yes, I understood what the terms meant. I was more wondering what the course consisted of and when will I be able to access it? I guess I should have been a little more clear, my bad.

Call the academics branch at Ft. Rucker and talk to Mr. Turnage if he is still there. If that doesn't work, call HHC 1st WOC and they will direct you.

Thanks Traffic. Helpful as always. I haven't even received my RFO yet, I was just curious as too how much time I get to complete the course.

I did mine in March of this year and I am not headed to class until this spring. I think you get 180 days to do it. I kept seeing notes on the discussion boards about people stressing about sending things to the Senior TAC for their class. They might be handing out DL dates 3-6 months prior to your Phase 2 date, you will have to call and check.

Whatever you do, DO NOT SWEAT the DL class! It is death by powerpoint and stuff that you already have heard dozens of times in Army Leadership courses and schools. Get the written assignments done per the SOP and turned in, get to clickn' through the slides, and take the test. Be mindful of the team-building portion of the slides. You might (stomp, stomp) see a lot of that stuff again later.
