I got endorsed by my facility commander yesterday to branch Aviation, so it looks like I'm going to be the Army's newest 2LT pilot. I commission from OCS on 29 AUG, hit up BOLC II, then hopefully I'll see flight school sometime before 2011... ha!

I'll be flying as a part of the S&S (security & support) initially in the Kiowa, but then they'll put me through the UH-72 Lakota transition when I get back, so we'll see how that goes.

That not to say there are a lot of 2LT slots open - I was very fortunate to get one of the only slots. We're very over-strength in AVN LT's right now, but need Warrants in a bad way.

I foresee a reversion in the future.....

I was talking with my CO today and it looks like I'm going to be put through the Blackhawk pipeline, then do the Lakota transition once I get back.
