Hey guys I got one more question. Just wondering how airframe slots are looking these days. I know it varries class to class but Im just trying to see what my chances are for getting the 64 or 58D if I go to WOCS around January. My packet is in front of the July board next week and I have high hopes because I have a lot of civilian flight exsperience and a combat tour to A-stan as an FO under me. I hear sometimes selections just seem like a random pick but Im really hoping to join you guys in the WO corps
You are way, way too far out to worry about airframe selection. It changes from class to class and who knows what it will be a year and a half from now.
When I got here there were so many Apaches that people were being forced to take them, now the Apaches are few and Blackhawks are a dominating the selection.

That whole concept of our airframe breaking all the time is a myth. We do have more things on our aircraft that can go wrong, but I have to hand it to all of the people working on it. Our last deployment we averaged around 90-100 hours per pilot per month. Choose your aircraft for what type of mission you want to do, not on what everyone has to say about the aircraft.

I am a crewmember so I know. I was just being sarcastic, if I change everyone's mind now, then all the 64s left for me
