Ok, I tryed this question in a different area, and this question is for the older guys, served in the 80s. I got out in Dec. 89, and a friend told me that I could wear the Basic Avaition Wings, I guess the Army just past a regulation that MOS 68B (new 15B) could wear the wings. I found the reg which I think says I can. I did do a lot of flying when I was in doing checks and going to on sites.

In late 1988-early 1989 there was a blanket passing of multiple MOSs that were able to wear aircrew wings. It was the 35 series of which some became 68 series around that same time. I think we were one of the first classes coming out of AIT to receive aircrew wings for our MOS and the orders allowing wings went to the units shortly after that. I got my wings as a 35R in March 1989 and was changed over to a 68R later that same year.

I don't know each specific MOS but I would guess it to be a good bet that you were allowed the wings if you were in when the regs were changed and you had an MOS that was remotely related to aviation.
