I am a currently deployed 11B who will become a SPC next month and will be stop lossed in SEP until we return home in MAR. I am considering extending my enlistment through AUG in order to be eligable for the board in JUL. My GT is 130, AFAST is 127, I have 60 college credits but will need a moral waiver as well. I will be giving up 6 months of stop loss pay as well as a jump start at college by extending my enlistment. I have been looking for guidance but have found little help as far as my chances at the board besides that there are 6 applicants for every seat. Because of my being deployed, I do not want to go any further in this process untill I am committed to extending my enlistment because I will be calling in a lot of favors in order to get all the reccomendations I will need. Any thoughts?
