I have been in the military, the Airforce, for 3 years as a 1C4, 23 yrs old and have been extremely interested in the enlisted to WOFT flight training program ever since we started working with and flying in helos, which is quite often. While I don't know even the first thing about flying anything, I do have working knowledge of how Army staff and units operate as our job as tacp's is primarily CAS/CCA(both fixed and rotary) and to liaison for the ground commander on how to best utilize aircraft for operations and deconflicting army/arty and af/birds, so transitioning to The Army itself would not be difficult to me at all, being at Cops, Battallion and Brigade consistently working TOCs and OTW ops both are nothing new to me. I have read, and have been told many different things as far as qualifying for this particular process, and will do whatever it takes to do what i need to do to qualify as a "candidate" for WOFT. I am coming to the discussion boards looking for any further information I either may not have or have been misinformed of concerning blue to green specifically the WOFT program. I already have the clearence and although haven't been a tacp long enough to be JTAC qualified, my initial enlistment is a little over 16 months from ending (active duty). I have learned plenty about how to qualify if i was a soldier but am wondering with 32 credit hours school and being only an E4 in another branch altogether how many extra qualifications have to be met , i.e. my Airforce ASVAB score was a General of 70, but is 3 and a half years old, and is completely different than the FAST test. Would love to read any advice or opinion of anyone familiar with WOFT or blue to green, and greatly appreciate any and all input, Thank you much.
