So I just re-enlisted after a 4 year break in service and I decided to choose 15P, after searchng google where all I have come up with is the same job discription over and over and a youtube video that looks like it was made in the early 90s. I have searched through all 10 pages on this forum about Aviation and found a couple hits on 15P.

My questions are:

With a 11B1P (Airborne Infantry)backround after going to AIT, what is the most likely duty staion I will head to? (I understand I go were the Army needs me, just curious if there are some places more likely for a 15P1P to go to) My recruiter is saying most likely Bragg to be with the 82nd or 18th Airborne Corps, or I will go to Campbell and be with the 173rd. But looking on here it looks like most guys go to Korea or Germany. I have been to Korea and **** that place with a passion.

Second question is what is training like while in that MOS. I understand I will be a paper pusher/driver, but will I get a chance to hit the range at all?

I am sure I will have more questions as time goes by, thanks for any info in advance.

As a 15P you don't have to been sent here to Bragg or placed on jump status just because you are Airborne.

There are slots in the 173d, 82d and in 4/25 up in Alaska as well as other in SOF units.

I would just focus on getting through the course. It's not hard, but you may find someone there can get you to Bragg if you're squared away.

In the Infantry BCT headquarters, I think you will find some range time as well as time to do other things.
